Currently: On the couch watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Which is currently my favorite show and it is very upsetting that there is only one season on Netflix). So on to the story of the selfie- stick.
It all started when my best friend/neighbor, Lauren aka Laryn, bought a selfie stick for herself. When she brought it home aka back to the dorms she basically hid it in her room and disregarded my interest in it.
I am ashamed to admit, I am one of the people who take things without asking and assume that it's ok (probably an only child thing)...so this scenario was no different. She got a little pedantic and told me to give it back so I was a good friend and I did....
Thankfully, I had some leftover gift card money on Amazon so I did some looking and I bought one. Unfortunately, the one I purchased didn't come with a button already on the base..instead, it came with with a tiny crappy plastic remote to take the picture. While I was putting it together, the battery died when I tried to open the remote and the whole thing is kind of pointless if you lose the remote! Needless to say, I left a not-so-stellar review on the seller's page.
Later, after being very disappointed with my recent buy on the website, I found another one on Amazon with a button on it (in the title picture) AND had enough credit to buy it for free!
It works so well and I started using it right away regardless of the criticism I got.. "You're so basic, white girl."
I also was able to take it on my Spring Break trip this year. I got some pictures of us hiking as well as when we went to the famous national monuments with it.
Below are some of my favorite pictures that are related somehow of this whole thing.
I love my selfie stick and I would totally recommend getting a one if you are thinking about it. Yeah, you might be judged, but in the end, it doesn't matter. However you make memories with your friends, that's what counts.
Until next time,
