My freshman year has been amazing. What a great way to celebrate a new beginning and the summer than to post my thoughts on the internet?
I wanted to briefly thank all of those who taught me lessons along the way.
My neighbors in the dorm. I got to know you a little before the year started and I could never thank you enough for all that you have done for me....slipping pieces of paper with words of encouragement when you knew I was down, taking random pictures with me in the hallway, eating dinner with me, laughing at 2 am about nothing...these are the moments I will miss.
My political friends. You have given me many opportunities that I would have never had without you. If I hadn't, I would have gone home for spring break. Instead, I was blessed to take a road trip to the "MONUMENT"al city, Washington, DC. Seeing this great nation's capitol was extraordinary and I am so glad I went with you. I learned a lot...even if it was a vacation. Major fun was had and I had a blast meeting some of the best people--aka Joni Ernst (because Joni is my homi and the best lady isn't always the First Lady).
And lastly, to my family. I have never had more support in my life. When things got a little rough, they were right there for me. When I got discouraged in a class and wanted to change majors they supported my decision. I have been blessed with a couple of new cousins and I am so excited to watch them grow in the Lord. My family (besides Jesus) is my rock.
My life at college has been spectacular...and I am only done with my first year. The next three should be even better...(if that is even possible).
Until next time,
